Inked Ribbon
Inked Ribbon
  • Why Inked Ribbon?

The name comes from a classic brand of typewriter ribbon, known for its "distinctive quality." And even though I make use of today's technology, to me Inked Ribbon signifies an old-school attention to excellence and performance. Qualities I like.

  • It's the thought that counts.

I've written for a broad array of corporate and nonprofit clients, choosing words with care for everything from soap names and menu descriptions to annual reports and websites. I write materials that generate attention and that motivate action.

  • I was pesky as a kid.

Today, my years as a journalist prompt me to ask questions that get to the heart of every assignment. Typical clients come from the beauty, retail, wellness, service, financial and nonprofit sectors, though I'm always eager to learn about new industries.

  • Works well with others.

So said my third-grade teacher, and it's still true today. I enjoy stellar long-held relationships with clients and design associates, celebrating the expertise each of us brings to the table, while pulling together to get the work done.

  • Wordsmith? More like ideasmith.

My best work begins in the conceptual phase, when the M&Ms are on the table and the ideas start flying. From there, I work closely with graphic and web designers to bring the concept home and to write everything the project needs.

  • Naming and taglines are catnip.

Nothing like a naming, theme or tagline project to start my brain churning. Every dogwalk has its "eureka" moments, every nighttime has my bedside lamp strobing on and off. Count on me to offer you dozens of strategic possibilities.

  • Let me get to the point.

I make your brands and ideas memorable and effective, communicating their essence with clarity, brevity, wit and a wink.
